Weddings come in many forms and variations & I embrace your day and how you want it to flow 100%, but there are some things you can do to get the best value out of your wedding photography time.
My most recent wedding was at Venus Bay with the gorgeous Eliza & Ben. I really loved the way they planned their day & completely threw tradition out the window. My day started by meeting the boys at our chosen photo location near Smythe Point, Venus Bay. We had plenty of time to get some lovely (& silly) shots of the boys before Eliza & her bridesmaids & family arrived. Then we enjoyed around an hour getting a variety of bridal party, close family & bride/groom shots. It was very relaxed & private with only the closest family and friends involved.
Afterwards we headed to Eliza's family holiday home for the ceremony & reception. Having gotten the formal bridal party photos done right at the start left the rest of the afternoon to relax & focus on fun & more casual photos with everyone else. I thought this was a very clever way to plan things & Eliza & Ben ended up with a massive gallery with a wide variety of images.
In the past other couples have opted to only have 1 hour of photography coverage following (omitting) the ceremony. I think this is another brilliant way to cut costs but not miss out on the valuable family & bridal party pics. Check out my 1 hour gallery at Glen Fyfe gardens. This is an entire wedding gallery from a 1 hour session after the ceremony.
